They closed all the Cracker Barrels and Chili’s here in PDX, although I really only miss the latter. The only other place on either list I’ve been to is Jamba, only once, but it was pretty good.

As a non-American I only know 4 of the 18 names here. And as an old person I’m just going to go ahead and grumpily declare that Gen Z doesn’t know what they’re doing.
Because all except the first aren’t going anywhere.
Never accused anyone of being lazy or incompetent. Just saying this added an unnecessary task and another source of contaminant risk. And if someone took shortcuts in cleaning the slicer, I’d understand because it’s hardly simple or straight forward. But all that said, adding another trust issue isn’t compelling me to…
This is what I go for too. IMO Burger King has the best-tasting eggs, so put them in a croissant and... I’ll have two, please!
Don’t lie to us, I have it on good authority that nobody wants to work anymore!
I had a motorized meat slicer in my kitchen for years. Nothing over the top or industrial grade but it was great for more than just slicing meats; good for certain cheeses and veggies too. You could get paper-thin onion slices.
The only reason I got o Burger King (or Dunkin) for breakfast is the option to have a breakfast sandwich with a croissant. Wouldn’t want it every time, but if I’m only getting fast food breakfast like twice a year, gimme the croissanwich!
Wawa’s SEC biscuit is so much better than what you should be able to get at a gas station. Biscuit is very good.
Nah, bagels suck for sandwiches...they don’t hold fillings well.
Chiick-Fil-A makes one of the best Sausage Egg & Cheese biscuits around. It gets slept on because folks tend to go with a chicken biscuit. (Unrelated pro tip, order standalone chicken patties from the “breakfast proteins” section and biscuits from “Breakfast breads.” You’ll tend to get larger chicken filets.)
I thought the same thing, but it doesn’t sound like I’m missing much. Anyway, there’s a Chik-fil-a in the same shopping center as the Popeyes near me, so I go there for a chicken biscuit.
Whataburger...full stop.
And Orwell thought it was the government that would be spying on our every move....
They have to find growth somewhere
So grocery chains are going to continue to cut cashier staff because the self checkout machines will obviously take care of everything, which means that now in order to eat we will all be required to submit our faces along with identifying information into a database we have no control over, which is going to be used…
I’m fine with it, but you know some genius will soon tie it to security cameras that recog your face when you walk in, then show you targeted ads on monitors throughout the store, because everything tech is a slippery slope nowadays.
Carls. Jr.’s biscuits are the only ones I’ve ever had that aren’t bone dry, because they slather them in butter. Unfortunately, they don’t have the biscuit and gravy anymore, although Hardees still does. They also have a country fried steak biscuit, which also is great if you get it with the gravy.
Yeah, scrolling down to say the same thing. Didn’t know they did breakfast.
How many Popeyes locations are open for breakfast? Is it just airport locations? This is the first time I’ve heard of Popeyes serving breakfast. It’s probably the reason why they’re so low on the list. If only a few locations serve breakfast, it doesn’t make sense to spend the money on developing a better sandwich.
