I think you hit the nail on the head there, that attitude of being scorned or teased plus a sense of privilege usually makes for a very unpleasant individual. I've noticed that women aren't the only targets though, be you a minority in those circles you'll probably catch flack for it at some point.

I had a convo at work about something to the tune of how funny dicks are. They look silly, plus they're fun to draw. Just saying the word 'dick' makes me laugh. A few years ago I drew one with shades on and fangs, I called it Fangcock.

The attitudes some of those players have is stomach-turning, but that mentality exist among people throughout the entire culture. I feel like it's the negative ones that are the loudest and most noticeable.

You don't think it exist in the comics and other 'geek' entertainment circles?
