Exactly. Long term unemployment usually breeds some depression. I was unemployed for 10 months, luckily I had just went back to school when I was laid off, but I was still looking for that whole period.

The general rule is, 'job' always beats 'no job'. No exceptions. I once went from being a systems manager to pharmacy clerk and security guard after being laid off. Generally, working was better than not working and more lucrative.
