Mario x Rabbids might be the fun surprise, but XCOM 2: War of the Chosen is going to be certified tactical RPG gold. Firaxis always seems to do large scale DLC right, and after watching the gameplay demonstrations they’ve had the last few weeks, I can say that they really seem to have outdone themselves.

I think most people are spoiled by the modern expectation of graphics and what not. So I think on initial viewing, seeing such a cartoonish style versus realistic textures within the style, looks kind of weird.

After reading an interview with the developers I’ve lost all faith in this game. They set some bizarre self imposed rules for them to follow, which they ended up breaking and didn’t hardly include any fan favorite characters. They didn’t want to use any Child characters, but Nintendo insisted they use Lucina, so

i have no nostalgia for mechanical keyboards. i used them for the first twenty odd years of my life and have no desire to go back to them.

It really is. And I feel like Andromeda still has solid bones and some good systems, it just needed to be more focused and have a better story.

Reminder:

Ah yes. The Dark Age of JRPGs. Ultra-tedious grinding, barely-existent narratives, shallow mechanics, and pointlessly convoluted dungeon designs. Good times. Goooooood times.

It’s seriously WTF someone thought this would be acceptable?

That picture is such a disgusting mess.

I love my Switch, it’s been my go-to system since its launch back in March but my god this picture is a fucking travesty

God damn it, Nintendo. I was certain you’d try to do this stupid idea in the least stupid way possible, but you didn’t even try. You just went full stupid.

This is just another example of how shifty and awful Nintendo can be. There is no need for this, when all other consoles allow you to just chat normally. I hook my headphones into my PS4 controller and I’m set. It’s literally one step to voice chat. The hoops Nintendo makes their devout faithful go through, who then

Then minute you have to use your phone to play a online game (voice chat) you messed up the online portion of your gaming console. Plain and simple

Sure looks like the crappy cables I jerry rigged together to shove my guitar into a home theater system just to see if it would work... back when I was 16.

Nintendo always seems to make incredibly dumb design choices when it comes to wires on their consoles.

Yep, ever since XSEED released Trails in the Sky 3 on Steam, it’s given me hope for more niche localizations that might not have been feasible for a retail release. Devs that might have been scared off about distribution costs can just cut the middle man and go digital only. Hopefully we won’t have to deal with
