Its black history month so let me take this opportunity to talk about me and how unfair the press is and let me name check a few token well-known black folks, inner cities and scene.

The ACLU just got a year’s worth of donations in a month. My congresswoman (Feinstein), who I disagree with frequently, just introduced legislation to roll back the “travel” (read: Muslim) ban. The Women’s March was by many accounts the largest protest ever.

Seems kinda fucked up that he could get more jail time for kicking her in the leg than he would for raping her.

A Southern blue dog Democrat who cares more about power than money and can talk in full coherent sentences? Hell, FU sounds great right about now!

She’s (or her handlers) are trying to make everyone forget the many naked pictures out there. She dresses very covered up now. We are supposed to think she’s elegant and a ‘lady’.

i think that melania does herself no favors standing next to FLOTUS. the genuine warmth next to the steely coldness of excess botox and lack of a soul is very jarring.

As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, I’m Texan. When Rick Perry (of all people) is the one congressional hearing that isn’t giving you nightmares, then yep, we’re all still pretty fucked.

It was just really silly. But Johnson was good in it. It wasn’t like Battlefield Earth bad. Or like a Showgirls campy trash masterpiece. It’s just a ridiculous story that was fun to watch for a laugh.

Some people simply shouldn’t have children. If 99% of people either resisted societal pressure to have kids or waited until they were emotionally stable and financially prepared before having them, we’d crush poverty within 20 years.

Once my dad told me he wished we (my siblings and I) had been kids the same time he had been (he’s 80, so the 1940's) because it felt to him like a “safer” time (post ww2, pre cold war). I explained to him how horrible that would have been for me as a (smart, tomboyish, independent) female, and I could see in his eyes…

I have to give this woman credit. While I think the republican party as a whole stands for some backwards, racist, sexist, greedy principles that defy logic, civility, and science, when it mattered this woman did what was right. So many partisan folks will not step back and assess reality. Good for her. I may disagree…
