The problem with the Jo thing was that when the book was written, being “coltish”, tall, thin and angular wasn’t the mainstream female beauty ideal, so Meg being dainty, petite, and “plump” (ie nicely curved and not fat but not too skinny either) was The Hot March Sister. Whereas nowadays being lean and willowy is the

It’s about reversing the trend of a generation of the Southern Strategy...

Nope.

I mean, come on. The idea that Doug Jones would be trouncing Roy Moore if he was a “viable candidate” is laughable. Doug Jones is a dedicated public servant who served as a civil rights lawyer and who has an extremely impressive record. But you’re being willfully blind if you don’t acknowledge that a large portion of

The idea that it’s never the voters’ fault or their responsibility to overcome their petty biases is at once patronizing and self-aggrandizing horseshit

I live in a state just next door to Alabama, and there’s legitimately nothing I can do to make the outcome of their special election any less inevitable. Call it defeatism if you want. The guy has been revealed to be a predatory creep and the polling is stabilizing in his favor, as it was always going to do.

I think acknowledging that inevitably there will be a fake allegation somewhere in all of this in advance is important to being able to keep it from derailing all of this painful but healthy and important sunlight.

Will you find a few nonwhite women who vote for the dude? Sure. Will he get even double digits among them? Nope. Will he win more than 50% of white women? Yes. I’m pretty comfortable letting that statement stand as is.

Black women voted overwhelmingly against Trump (90% +) and I’m dead sure they’ll vote against Roy Moore overwhelmingly, too. They’re not the problem.

This is a setup. If Moore clearly and unequivocally calls Corfman a liar in response, she has a slam-dunk libel case (and all the attendant discovery, testimony under oath, etc. that implicates). If he doesn’t, he’s tacitly admitting the allegations. It’s a good move. If Moore wins this will haunt the Republican party

Yep. Alabama will absolutely elect Roy Moore; a disgraced judge kicked off the bench twice for violating the Constitution, who called for a ban on gay people, asserted that Muslims should not be allowed to serve in Congress, who was banned from a local mall for stalking and trying to date teenage girls, who called

This is such a depressing story because you know this guy is about to be elected to the senate. It’s just an echo of the 2016 election. And a constant reminder that the people of 2017 are just terrible people.

That face is pretty much everyone who supports Trump.

‘I think the real issue is why they broke that statue...”

The 45 RT’d videos belonging to a group of people, who one of them, MURDERED a British politician while screaming “Britain First!”

Let that sink in.....

Hey, remember that time there was a national furor when we all found out Obama maybe sat in a church one time when a pastor said “God damn America”?

Don’t bait him. He’ll do it.

And yet, somehow, he’s only the third dumbest Trump.

Bonus points? For simply reading?

Eric Trump, pretty much living up to his SNL image as a dullard.
