Journalist A does not and will never get a cut of ad revenue. That’s not how journalism works. Nobody breaks down ad revenue gained by individual articles. Journalist A is either on staff or pitches an idea and submits an invoice if the piece is approved.

Journalist A gets paid by corp B to write piece and uses ads/subscriptions to both pay journalist A, other staff etc....Corp C should not be able to sell Journalist A’s work to make money. I am not sure why you think journalist A is even involved. The issue is between Corp B and C.
