NP. These are fundamentally pretty good cars. Infinitis are not worth the money new, but you can get a great deal on them used and this seems like a good example despite the miles.

I LOVE my 2014.

Goofy styling, a weird color combo, and a nonworking top...appears to be good reasons to avoid. But seems to be in excellent shape besides the ragtop, and I’m willing to bet racking up 200,000 miles on a 13 year-old car means a lot of those miles got accumulated as highway miles. And highway miles when you’re cruising

You can’t ask us, Rob! We are unworthy to gaze on it, let alone ride in it.

Ex AMG owner here. Run.

A 17 year-old gas-gulping Maybach-Benz that’s guaranteed to ream you with the first problem you have that means taking it to the dealer...you’re kidding me, right?

If it’s about status, you won’t look very cool to anyone. You might be able to use it for business purposes but I can’t see it being profitable. It’s not a future collectable IMO, there’s just no wide desirability for this.

TIL:

Trotting out my corporate-speak, I just don’t see a rational use case for this. If you’re scrounging in the bargain bin for a car to be driven in, can you even afford a driver–not to mention the upkeep? If you run a limo service, this will have limited utility with only two seats in the back. And who would want to

Agreed. Had the same reaction to seeing one for the first time.

Well name any of the luxury brands that carry a reliable NA V8 anymore?  Pretty much everyone has gone to a twin turbo V8 that looks like a bag of snakes once you pull the plastic panel off.  No one makes regular ol’ V8 coupes that make V8 noises and have V8 reliability except for Lexus.

The design and quality of the LC transcend depreciation. It’s a once in a generation kind of car, IMO. We’ll never see anything like this from Toyota/Lexus ever again once they kill off the 5.0 V8.

Besides the obvious reliability argument, I would argue that it’s a more compelling vehicle than an 8-series, CLS, or other big luxury coupe. These things are truly stunning in person, and the high-revving, great-sounding NA V8 is long gone in all its competitors.

Inspired by the mouth of a baleen whale? The taillights were inspired by melted eye makeup of an 80s glam rocker.

The LC is one of those cars that looks amazing in person. Pictures can’t do it justice. It has significant road presence, an amazing naturally-aspirated V8 and is almost certainly a very comfy place to be.

Are you a game designer?

Perhaps we’ve been all wrong about Predators. Maybe they are misunderstood, textile-based creatures that were scorned in favor of modern technology in some way, many generations ago. In their quest for justice they’ve evolved and adopted uniquely advanced weaponry to fight for their true place in the galaxy.

It’s likely because compared to other luxury brands in its price range, they tend to be more reliable. Or at least perceived reliability compared to it’s German counterparts. I think out of the luxury car makers Lexus has the reputation of being less of a reliability nightmare compared to Audi, BWM or Mercedes.
