theyve also needed about a forty times more power.

It’s a record for EVs.

The article is written for people in the land of freedom to express our measurements in whatever we’d like. The car weighed approximately 22 stone, went 4/5ths of a cheetah in 1x10^8 shakes of a lambs tail with a power of 300 horses.

Breaking news: media publications write in measurement systems their primary audiences can understand.

It did. And was translated for a majority non-metric readership.

Speed records and racing have driven motorsports for over 120 years and ALL of it, all the technology, experiences, failures, triumphs, mistakes, victories, cheating, ALL of it progresses motorsports and real world daily driving.
