I agree, especially when you consider many classic novels, like the works of Charles Dickens, were original released in serialized form.
Of course, even that distinction is blurred when you consider that Watchmen, the most commonly cited graphic novel example, was originally published as 12 individual issues.
For me, the most useful definition of a graphic novel should just be a comic originally published in long form, rather than as individual issues. That gives useful separate meanings to “issues” and “trade paperback” and doesn’t convey a value on any of the three styles.

Yup. TLJ was a genuinely good movie. I loved it even more the second time specifically because of all of the nuance a second viewing brings. It is not perfect, but no movie ever is.
Exactly! I’ll be the first to say that tropes are tools, but it was just so refreshing to see the movie tell us that she did this all on her own. Who she came from doesn’t matter. I honestly expected her to have some sort of prestigious “pedigree,” and this was just such a pleasant surprise.
