I mean you’re just describing a “famous personality”.  People have been appreciating this as a thing monetarily for a long time.

male streamers are usually funny or smart or good at videogames. Scientifically we all know that female streamers can’t be any of these things (/sarcasm, god I hate the fact that I have to add the disclaimer).

“the relationship between the audience and the streamer” is a concrete thing, and a reason why many enjoy streamers. It’s just referring to the fact that while people appreciate say, movie stars from afar, you can actually have a certain engagement with a streamer (however slim and shallow).  You’re the one putting

I think this is a great idea, and I can’t help but look at some of Joss Whedon’s projects.  I know the guy’s cancelled and with good reason, but nobody does the “endear you to the characters before fucking murdering them” better.  It’s just sad that he never went full on horror with any of it.

I had to think about this one for awhile, but I’d HAVE to say the PS2. I know crazy right? Objectively, a great system that a lot of people have fond memories of. But it was the generation where platformers (my first real gaming love) were becoming something else, jrpgs (my second) were also changing into something

my parents when I was a little kid in the 80's:

My one big gameplaytip, once you get the bouncy ball powerup just keep that shit hotkeyed and have it equipped constantly. It turns the game, a fairly middling platformer (FROM A GAMEPLAY STANDPOINT) into a sort of Jumping Flash sequel.

or you know, different people have different tastes in other people.  No need to be a gross asshole about it.

Hoo boy. Big question. My three favorite platformers:

That doesn’t seem to be what they’re saying or implying at all.

Speaking hypothetically, if I created or helped a product where themes involved BDSM or something similar, and a fan DMed me to thank me for including that element?  No I wouldn’t automatically assume they were flirting.  Context matters, and in this context bringing up these subjects isn’t an invitation to that sort

...how was any of this flirting on her part?  You know you can talk frankly about this stuff without it being flirting right?

It’s too bad because I really enjoyed the more out there scifi elements of that game’s story, but of they felt the need to say something about “society”. Which is all well and good when you actually have something of substance to say, but Infinite was treading on grounds it had no real business being on.

Optional side character tied to whoever you save at the beginning of the game. Really should’ve been in all playthroughs though.

Or they only played through once and saved the OTHER character in the beginning.  I didn’t know about Jimmy Hendrix in Wolfenstein til like last year.  Which is sad because he ruled much harder than the other optional side character in my opinion.

Depending on who you save in the beginning of the game, you also get one of two optional side characters. I didn’t find this out til years later.  Your playthrough probably replaced J with that one obsessive compulsive genius woman.

God one of those game mags from when I was a kid had this great article about the ways you could jazz up the traditional jrpg shit, and they had this image of the healer who’s just really sunny and happy looking but absolutely covered in blood and viscera because her healing powers demand her to just uhh, get right in

I read that as Doctor Manhattan subsumed his personality into a newly created shell persona.  Cal probably didn’t exist til Doc decided (for whatever reason) he wanted to be a regular man again.

...I think you might have misunderstood that joke, friend.

No game should be 80+ hours.  Hell, no game should be 40+ hours.  That’s not respecting anybody’s time.
