One reason why people are perturbed over all this hullabaloo is because they actually have a concept of their character in their head, and they then become conflicted between what their character would do, and "ohh man free xp".

In the back room of my store, we've probably got more then 50 GTAIV just for 360 alone. What rockstar isnt getting is, much of the GTA fan base are the type to beat the linear portion of the game (cheating if possible), and then immediately trade it in for their new sports title.
