For the record, I think Brave and the Bold was fantastic. I think kids liked it, but DC/CN couldn't understand why, so they canceled it made what they thought everybody wanted, which was Beware. Turns out sometimes "fun" beats "moody", even when Batman is concerned.
I think it's just a case of overbaturation.
He fell for thirty years and landed in the central podium of the Galactic senate.
"I don’t want to see Superman angsting over his actions."
I use the wireless 360 controller w/ my Win8 HTPC and it's actually about the only thing that wasn't a problem... I've regretted my 'Screw it, let's just go with Win 8' decision at pretty much every single turn since then. I'd guess this is yet another failing of the OS, not the 360 controller.

The best todo app for me is CARROT, I'm surprised it didn't show up here, since it was at lifehacker that I found out about it and then here again, when I saw that it was free. It's the only one that motivates me to keep looking at my to-do list without a bunch of messiness with folders and such.
Not SF, but Richard Burton's Character in Where Eagles Dare. He knew everything, every ambush worked, every bullet hit, figured out every conspiracy, knew the right people, had the perfect timing... hell he even had perfect alpine sex with the hottie he stashed away in a mountain cabin in one of the most ridiculous…

I prefer Black 'n Red spiral notebook for note taking. Pages have a premium coating for smooth writing. Perforated pages can be removed and scanned easily. Fujitsu Scansnap scans a 70 page book on both sides in ~5 minutes.
You didn't mention Star Wars Edge of the Empire? It really looks like a great system, and you can try the beginner box before going to the full core rulebook.
Glad you're enjoying the gaming posts! I'll be covering all the fun new stuff at Gen Con for io9 next month too, so stay tuned.
I just wanted to say that I enjoy seeing RPG coverage on io9. That's two articles this week alone so thanks Ed!
If I were 8 years old this would be the coolest thing I have ever seen.
Getting just under boiling is hardly a challenge. Boil a kettle. Wait for the bubbling to subside then pour. That will certainly be "about" 195-205F.
It uses HTML5’s local storage. It’s not really a cache, your browser won’t randomly delete it. But it will be removed if you fully clear your browser history (depending on browser and settings).
