I'm pretty sure the Aka Manto legend exists only so that kids tell it and then go into the bathroom and ask"red paper or blue" to scare the crap out of the kid in the next stall.

I'm too old to be a first-person shooter guy, I can barely keep up with World of Warcraft PvP, but oh my God have I fallen in love with Overwatch. The beta's been shut down for a few days now and I can't stop thinking about it.

It's indecent!

Ever? Yes. Anytime soon? No. It's probably impossible to orbit Neptune without spending a couple billion dollars on a "flagship" mission, and at the moment, NASA can only afford to plan one of those at a time. Next flagship mission is (hopefully) to Europa, to launch in the 2020s. Soonest something could arrive

Just to save you some embarrassment, the answer is "everybody".

This whole deflategate thing is completely idiotic. Granted, I live in New England, but I could give a shit about the Patriots.

Or me: I actually do this stuff for a living.

You're not the boss of us, creepy monolith!

I'd go with the John Kerry, but I think we're on the same wavelength.

King Kong and Avatar, depending on what you mean by "animation".

Diane or Michael?

Ex Machina is fantastic but it had the misfortune to come out the same year as Fury Road.

… with George Wendt?

I think I'd go with District 9 or Moon for 2009.

Can't show that scene from The Usual Suspects without spoiling it. There are a couple movies that have no statute of limitations on spoilers: The Usual Suspects is one of 'em. Fight Club too.

I'm fine with the "back of the bus" scene for The Graduate.

Well, my argument so far has been that the obviously missing movies faced tough competition, and the "why did they include that one?" are because of a weak field that year.

The most iconic shot from Fargo is too gruesome for a montage like this.

Nah, that is *the* shot. One of the things I love about this list is that it picks the right clip almost every time.

Unlike a lot of stuff the Internet puts out, this list is pretty solid. Even the "wrong" choices seem to have a rationale behind them.
