That didn't sound like Zack, so I tried to go back and find a show he reviewed that would be a counterexample. But mostly I found a lot of The Walking Dead, so so much for that argument…

Sigh, okay that's it. I'm putting out a fatwa on Dawes jokes for this show.

I agree with your point, but just to word-quibble: what does "corrupt" mean here? Star Helix isn't sworn police, it's a private security company. There's no such thing as bribing them, when they're literally supposed to work for whoever pays them the most.

Two hundred years ago, the idea that random individuals would be able to drive a car around would seem crazy: it'd be like private citizens messing around with an artillery company.

The dialogue is definitely getting lost in the ambient sound on my TV. Especially Miller, the dude mumbles like a mofo.

For a non-book-reader, you've got a spectacularly good grasp on the situation as it's laid out so far. Great summary!

I am a little puzzled on reflection as to why Holden didn't give public interviews to the press

You see anybody else playing this game?

My biggest complaint about Civ 5 is that the AI is tactically stupid, and compensates for it by cheating outrageously. I'd rather have a fair fight with a smarter AI at a lower difficulty level.

I'm on a re-reading kick. Just finished rereading the first four books of The Expanse by James S. A. Corey, and am just starting up the The First Law books by Joe Abercrombie.

If I were a dentist, I'd do shit like that on purpose. It's probably good that I'm not a dentist.

Hear, hear. She spoke at my college once. I didn't go, because I was young and stupid.

I'm an introvert who doesn't drink at all: if you made me meet and empathize with a big group of emotional people five times a week, I'd need to start pre-gaming to deal with it.

You don't pick the order, the balls are sorted as they come out, so the second ball isn't a free choice among the 68 remaining, it has to be less than the first one, and so on.

I've been trying to avoid starting a new Civ 5 playthrough. It is without question the best of the bunch. What's the AI mod you're using?

Are you doing co-op for D:OS? I'm trying to get my wife to join me on that.

Started playing Fallout 3. (Yes, 3.) It's not really holding my interest that well, though at the moment nothing else is either so maybe it's a mood I'm in.

As someone who read the script before seeing the movie, IMO the movie is a perfectly good performance of the play.

Sulky, impatient, mad at his family, and a traitor to the girl he loves? I think he's still playing Hamlet.
