You make a decent point, but then you use it as a springboard for a partisan attack everybody's heard before and nobody's going to listen to. If you want to change peoples' minds, my advice is to keep your flag furled. Just make your counterpoint and let your audience handle the sweeping generalizations themselves.

IANAL, but if he doesn't appear on the stand I think that's inadmissible hearsay.

I skimmed your post at first and missed your point. Apart from the "labor unions and Communists" bit and the exact date, you could also have been talking about the Cultural Revolution.

Hell, in that situation the dems could win with Marion Barry. Yes I know he's dead, even so.

I want the crazies out in public where I can count 'em, and where they can feel like they're part of democracy rather than at war with it.

Great, tense episode, I loved it, but the show's playing some cheap scriptwriting tricks.

That's nuts. How the fuck are you supposed to bring somebody like that into the courtroom? Best-case scenario he mind-controls the jury to believe whatever he tells them, worst-case scenario he mind-controls the jury into tearing each other apart with their bare hands.

It's not a coincidence, but it is a little over-the-top.

Oh hell yes, I want porn with panache in it too!
[somebody whispers in Agate's ear]
Oh, right. panache. Nevermind.

Oh, I do see its charm. I'm about halfway through the first season, and I'm liking the case-of-the-week stuff, but the longer-term arc (whatsisname Spike 2.0) is a little dull. I'll stick with it but it's not top priority at the moment.

You would think the GOP brass would be paying candidates to drop out. In a 3-4 way race, Trump can't win.

*looks at title image*

You are wrong. Every discipline needs its ridiculous jargon, and in a world where gutters and bulldogs are obsolete, lede is a keeper.

Even setting morality aside and focusing on tactics: I'm just amazed that nobody but Kasich has realized you don't win the election by going after the 35% of Republicans who like Trump, you go after the 65% who fear and loathe him.

Yeah, but that's just because Trump's never been in a position to do anything.

"Dick in a Box found the humor in junky Christmas packages"

Hang on, I'm confused, why do you think referring to concentration camps means Germany resettled America with their own citizens? Are you thinking he's talking about death camps in Europe? Because he's not. *shudder*

I've solved that problem by deciding that there is no male lead, Joe's just a minor villain. It works surprisingly well.

Hunh. Weird coincidence: just last night I was speculating about exactly this:

Given any ludicrous comedy premise, there's someplace in Britain that's legitimately weirder than that.
