Man, I saw Runaway like 25 years ago, but it's stuck with me. Fun movie.

I know, but weasel is funnier. ;)
Saw The Martian. As I'd hoped, it's the rare sci-fi story that actually improved after passing through the bowels of Hollywood, like that special coffee that gets eaten by a weasel.
I'm good with the exterior bracing: the supports won't buckle because they're under tension rather than compression, it increases the useable interior living area, and it's not like the zombies are smart enough to undo the bolts.
It's the old meme, "When I die I want my group project members to lower me into the grave, so they can let me down one last time."
"South African Ryan Seacrest" I see where you're coming from, but I think there's another layer to it in Noah's case. They've both got that genial bland nonthreatening host attitude, sure, but Noah's using that as a cover for throwing Molotov cocktails. Agree that he (and the writers) are still figuring out how to…
Oops, forgot to mention I have seen Raising Arizona. I think I'm going till I'm in a different mood for No Country for Old Men, it doesn't seem like it's "lighter stuff".
After watching the trailer for Hail, Caesar!, I've been catching up on Coen brothers movies. I've seen a bunch already: Arizona, Hudsucker, Lebowski, Intolerable Cruelty, O Brother, Fargo. On my current binge I just watched Barton Fink and Burn After Reading. So far I've liked their lighter stuff better: Hudsucker…
I've seen a bunch of Coen Brothers, but this conversation got me to watch Barton Fink. Good film, but I would definitely not call it zany. Even the lighter scenes were more disturbingly unhinged mania than actual comedy. The kind of joke you laugh nervously at as you back away toward the door.
Nothing sweet should be made out of sour
Sounds like he might be a one-scene part. Here's hoping.
1. The Hudsucker Proxy
2. The Big Lebowski
3. O Brother Where Art Thou?
4. That's right, Hudsucker Proxy, deal with it.
If you're planning to see Hail, Caesar, I'd move The Hudsucker Proxy up on your list. They'll be worth comparing, in tone and setting.
Don't care!
Yes please!
Yawn. Zombies are the least interesting part of The Walking Dead, and the kills are the least interesting thing about zombies.
Jeez, they couldn't have just shown a How I Met Your Mother marathon?
I think one could totally be a feminist objectivist: "the patriarchy is a union of incompetent men who manipulate the system to keep brilliant women like myself from realizing our goals." An objectivist who lives on the dole, though, is absolutely hypocritical.
I'm gonna guess this was an inside joke.
It's simple: immigration limits are a barrier erected by the untalented masses already in the country to protect their own mediocrity from outside competition.
