Hmmm. They all seem to be organized on FB and maybe twitter? I only found out that my city (in a veeeeery red state) is planning one of its own because a friend texted me. That said, if you’re in a place as huge and liberal as NYC I bet they’re organizing something for people who can ‘t travel.

Good for you. At this point, I honestly feel that even women in blue states can feel reasonably frightened that their reproductive rights will be stolen by the Republican majority. My red states friends terrified because there is next to no chance that our rights are safe. :(

Really considering it. I don’t know anyone else from my town who can make it and don’t know anyone who lives near DC so, financially, it might not be feasible. If, for whatever reason, I can’t make it, then I’ll join my sisters marching on our own state capitol!

FYI, in many states groups of women are organizing to march on their own capitols at this time. Many won’t be able to make it to DC for whatever reason, but we can still show our strength!

I make many donations to important groups over the year but go out of my way to choose a politically neutral organization (ie: Research Hospitals that sort of thing) for donations in family’s name. I hope you’re right. That said, having lived in the South most of my life, I’m not so certain that teachers in the most red of states will teach science if not required to do so. :(

Gingrich announced a proposed return of the Committee for UnAmerican Activities. This is how they’re going to attack Free Speech in general without over turning the first amendment. And of course, they’ll go after political opposition, any critical Press, and Muslims.

Our reproductive rights (and many others) were as good as killed by Nov. 9. In the next few months, they’ll appoint a new anti-choice SC judge. Realistically, my best hope now is that the Republicans ONLY try to defund Planned Parenthood and permit TRAP laws.

All these anti-science people are a disaster for our country. Pence, Palin, Trump. Ben fucking Carson as Sec of Ed. Our defunded schools will be forced to teach creationism and climate change denial. This will have chilling long term affects.

I fucking hate that piece of shit, Newt. There is so much about this new administration that infuriates me. But, the fact that Gingrich’s cottage cheese head will play a prominent national position over the coming year makes me want to break things. I’m sure the Clintons feel similarly.

Pick a cause and dedicate yourself to it. We all need to do our small part.
