You are absolutely correct about our “justice” system. If only more here in the US would stop burying their heads in the sand and see it for what it is. The privatization of some of our prisons has made it even worse.

The fact that you aren’t American and get tells me that some Americans don’t want to get it.  The documentary 13th on Netflix perfectly describes how the prison system has been and continues to be used against people of color.  

The US wrote in a loophole against slavery by saying that one could be enslaved if they were tried and found guilty and court and then white people immediately looked for ways to arrest, try and convict Black people. That has not changed.

Every minority is plagued by this, no one wants to be the negro. It’s at the very root of human cowardice to try and go unnoticed while someone else is picked on by the bully. We need to eradicate that fear of being black, fear of standing for black and marginalized people.

I read something once that White western philosophies can only imagine a dominance/submission dynamic to relationships between cultures, that White men are pathologically incapable of imagining having equal relationships with other groups of people, and that someone has to be in the dominant position.
