We’re all adults here; seriously, if people are mad because NSFW shit popped-up on their monitor in the office, maybe they should...I dunno, actually do work?

Thank you for the post and the apology.
I’m not trying to answer for Stephen Totilo, but rather explaining what I understand based on first- and second-hand knowledge in publication:
I can link violent cinema and games to incels and negative stereotypes as well. But no one wants to have that conversation. A great video about Incels was done by Contrapoints which i recommend to everyone with a pulse.
Kotaku y’know I’m pretty lenient on alot of the shenanigans ya’ll sometimes post but this article needs to be nuked and redone with more research and sensitivity to the subject matter. Yeah I poke fun at alot of terrible porn with my mates but not enough to justify an article as flimsy as this.
This article confuses me. I’m not sure why it exists, or who it was aimed at. Like someone said above, it feels like they decided to sit down and smash out a page or two of giggle-snorting at the lamest hentai they could find on a quick google image search. It wasn’t aimed at people who make this, because there was no…
It’s also wild, to me, that the only hyperlink is to that snake meme? I am NOT asking for links to more underage/noncon or well any porn but maybe a sign that you are not treating this stuff with the care it deserves is only linking back to a joke, and not anything substantive or helpful!
I mean I’ve seen some top tier 3D render porn these days....like there’s some real talented folk making lewd stuff and I’m all for it really.
Animated porn of fictional characters isn’t hurting anyone, (realistic renderings of child actors is a big old yikessss and nah). I mean Overwatch is a genre onto itself. ActiBliz know that.
Remember that article a few years ago (it seems like a few years ago, at least..) covering StudioFOW that was well-researched and nuanced despite the relatively extreme content? Remember how that was a pretty great article?
Editor’s Note: This story originally included screenshots from the Harry Potter and Pokemon animated porn parodies. We’ve removed those images after readers expressed discomfort over some of the scenes, and believe that words can sufficiently explain the material.
I’m really disappointed in this article as it’s a completely missed opportunity to do an in-depth look at the niche community of 3D animators that are trying to make money off video game/3D porn.
Me @ the entire hot mess this article is, including the fact that nearly all the images you’re showing (arguably) depict minors having sex, which you then...brush past without even really giving a second thought:
Most of the animated R34 stuff is more centered among wish fulfillment then it is trying to be at all erotic or appeal to non-fans.
Question: Are we on a list now for publicly viewing screenshots of animated porn of child characters?
I believe its a half/half thing, yeah SE COULD’VE given us a full game but it would’ve taken 340304300 years and after the XV fiasco that’s the last thing it needs. However I definitely still blame SE for mentioning the words ‘Episodic’ that kind of poisoned the well because of games doing that shit before ala…
I think it’s worth it! It feels slightly buggy in an EA way but there’s a lot of stuff in it. I’ve been excited for it for a while though; if you tend to be wary of early access games or burn out on them your mileage might vary.
He also very much considers his work to be ANIME, because ANIME IS THE WORD USED FOR THE GENRE OF ANIMATION HE HIMSELF HELPED PIONER
No, it’s not, and I wish you self-hating anime nerds would stop spreading misinformation.
