Excellent point. And I completely agree. This is what Capcom has LITERALLY been touting on the back of almost every Monster Hunter game box ever since it’s inception. And NONE of the games truly provided that experience. That is until this one, finally has.

Exactly. All of this.

Agreed! many current players of monster hunter were not around since it’s inception, so I feel that they may be missing something. but, for me, as the series went on I could distinctly feel the difficulty dropping. And as such I was less crafty as the series went on. That isn’t to say that the elements weren’t there

In original MH I played pretty sneaky when soloing. I’d set up traps with poisoned meat and such. Barrel bombs etc. Subsequent games were made easier and easier so such tactics became far less needed. But the mechanics and tools have always been there. You can still sneak and hide from sight in bushes.

That’s not what I’m saying but OK.

If its as engaging as the recent XCom games, who cares. Get MORE high!

Ubi was one of the few big publishers to get behind the WiiU in a meaningful way. Maybe this is partly Nintendo thanking them.

This post is a perfect example of how Nintendo can’t win.

A Blade Stranger is just a Blade Friend you haven’t Blade Met.

Too bad one of the creators is part of the Gamergate movement.

There is also the fact that it is not an experiment in any meaningful sense.

Leaves 25K in the hand of random internet people to lose while asking for micro-donations on the stream.

Dismiss your trolls folks. They do not deserve your time, you’re better than that.

Here, I’m probably more familiar with this so let me try and help you out. Here’s the key to understanding it: There’s a difference between objectification and sexiness.

This just proves that is the worst possible response.

These guys sound like great DMs!

Comparing this and the ending to Mass Effect 3 doesn’t really make a lot of sense. This is just one story of many in a single game, Mass Effect 3 was the single end to a trilogy where they gave us exactly what they promised they wouldn’t.

If the creative people with whom Anita Sarkeesian meets have so little conviction in their work that they wilt to her whims the moment she talks about what she values in the depiction of women in games, that’s on them, no?

“Ever wondered what George Washington would look like as a pretty anime boy?”

“Impressive” is not exactly the word I would use. This takes zero actual skill. You just have to be willing to waste an incredible amount of time.
