I don’t think we should be holding up Alan “Rape is an amazing Plot Device that Will and Must Show Up In All of My Works,” Moore to any level of “better than anyone else,” within the context of any conversation about literary or political anything.

I know it was a huge departure from the previous games, but I absolutely love the world building and how the game kind of wants you to fail a few times in order to get the best ending.

Well, Capcom seems very risk-averse nowadays so I can see why they wouldn’t want to throw their might behind a game that wasn’t a standout franchise even in its heyday.

There are also several dozen characters that can potentially kill him, a list of which includes not only alternate reality versions of Superman but also Darkseid, Zatanna, Dr. Fate, Lucifer Morningstar, and literally any 4th or higher dimensional level being.

Fayt Leingod from Star Ocean: Til The End of Time might be a contender for beating Fei, tbh. His power is meant to specifically be able to warp the laws of physics and impose them on other dimensions, as it was created to combat 4th dimensional beings.

I ALMOST would’ve gone with Ashura, tbh, but since he’s got a soft spot for women and iirc has the same superpower as the Hulk (gets stronger the angrier he is) that’s an auto-lose against Bayo.

Bayo would just swoop in and bitchslap all of Dante’s problems, so I don’t see why this hasn’t happened yet other than she’s too pretty and petty to care about him.

What I love about SMT is that it’s usually about a rebirth of some kind. A doing away of the old, which didn’t work—or was too corrupt to be allowed to exist—so that something new and different can come into existence, even if the events that bring about these changes are put into motion by people/entities that want…
