Look, I get what you’re saying, but this notion that any of that means “The game shipped unfinished,” is ludicrous.
You haven’t been in the Internet very long if you don’t think people were lewding Pokémon in the furry community well into the first generation being released
The Pokémon is a spy, yes. That’s the entire idea.
Shut up you gigantic tool y’all have been buying FULL PRICED DLC called the third game in every generation now for YEARS without calling previous games unfinished, dear lord
One of the best realized RPGs of its time, to be honest. There’s so much that could’ve gone wrong with a story about immortals wrapped up in all the familiar trappings of a JRPG; but between the amount of care that went into making everyone in the cast feel like an actual person, along with treating the concept of…
Even Furries hate Cats, my dude. If the musical hasn’t turned into a cult hate-watch experience yet, then the film undoubtedly will be treated the same way. Ain’t no one actually like the show outside of it being some weird coked-out nightmare you can humble-brag about seeing.
That’s...the exact point I’m trying to make?
This is basically the idea behind doing trilogies when the source material isn’t enough to make even two films (coughcoughTheHobbitcoughcough)
They did, and one of the CGI studios involved went bankrupt + shut down, leaving a bunch of people jobless.
She’s not even a good Creator’s Pet, tbh. The second film did everything in it’s power to make her seem worthless while also—contradictorily—treating her as THE main character behind Luke and Benlyrenly.
tbf, the point of the character’s face-heel turn in-universe is that you’re supposed to decide, for yourself, whether or not two different kinds of people deserve to be forgiven and/or worked with in order to make a friendship function.
Like, her character could have been compelling if they literally took her anywhere that wasn’t almost a copy-paste of Luke’s story (minus the Vader stuff) + if the second film hadn’t spent its entirety undermining any sense of character she might have had.
CATS 1.01 RELEASE PATCH NOTES
I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and say the comic is more about how boring she is, as a character, and that the amount of time both the second and third movie spent trying to undo the film that preceded them could’ve been better spent in making her—if she has to be the main character—more interesting.
Gamers.
I firmly believe that most everyone who loved the film (mostly) never played a videogame before in their life.
Might b a bit morbid, but think of how many people who would’ve fallen in that category have passed away since the first one came out.
Ephemeral Fantasia
Interesting concept, but I still maintain that a game you don’t play isn’t a game at all. It’s a (non-interactive*) simulation—and, in this case, a (non-interactive) simulation of a narrative.
