Some of those attacks are apparently unbelievably rare. Like the one guy you linked recorded 1200 hours of gameplay and only saw the Pthumerian heal move 2 times.

I bet the developers messed around with these moves, and for balancing reasons decided to ditch it, but instead of throwing it out they just decreased the

“It’s a lot more fun, if you’re into base building stuff.”
That is nothing like what was promised by the pre-release stuff.

The final product was rushed. It was in segmented development for 10 years and duct-taped together at the end to rush it out to make a quick buck and get SOMETHING out of all the money they poured into it.

I have no problem with people saying they had fun with it. I just have an issue with people defending it for its overall game design and story. They were atrocious. And I have a hard time taking anybody seriously who says otherwise.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved the game. Its music, its scenery, the story (issues aside)...

Given that it took then ten years to make the FIRST half...

The complaints are absurd. The hook didn’t go through walls. You still had to aim at the edge of the wall, and if they’re poking out even the TINIEST bit, it will hit them.

As far as I know, the only thing people were really complaining about was the hook connecting with people who weren’t actually in the line of sight. I’m not quite sure why they don’t go with the obvious solution: You need line of sight to actually hook the target, but once hooked the line won’t break.

People just dont understand that the hook was not as broken as everyone thought. The percieved issues were ALL due to latency and the hitbox of the hook being too large. If they make the hook hitbox smaller and make it so that the hook pulls players to the CORRECT place in front of roadhog (ignoring any turns he

I’ll be honest man. This is the only game in many many years that has actually made me rage like back in my teenager days. So, in a way, I feel their frustration. I’ve seen more raging in this game than many others.

For some reason I just read it differently. I was thinking you had the idea that this would “cleanse” the community of CoD gamers, and the people who didn’t do this aren’t like CoD gamers. But I see what you’re saying now.

I can’t help but wonder if they will also ban players exploiting the RoadHog’s hook-through-wall glitch that have terrorized competitive games for 3 seasons now?

To be fair, as an ex-game dev, nobody knows if the fix is easy or not without having the source code. It could be extremely easy. It could be extremely hard. Assume either, and you’re stupid.

It’s a bug. They’re working on it.

Fully expecting to see hundreds of thousands to sign up for this, with the majority quitting after a week when they realize why Bethesda made so many changes to the base game after all.

Gameplay > Graphics.

Come back when you grow up and have something meaningful to bring to the discussion.

Don’t try to explain yourself man. People are fanboys, and fanboys are sheep. They want to like it, so they’ll force themselves to. The game is, objectively, a disaster of a game in terms of design and development.

You try to explain to them why, and you’ll only get stupid shit like:

Oh look another dumb fuck “Why would you play it if you hate it?” post.

Read. The. Article. Before. Commenting.
