The melee finisher gimmick ruined the entire game for me, literally. I was having such a good time playing a true updated Doom game that actually does live up to its predecessor.

I beat the story in 18-20 hours at level ~38 or so running through it. Don’t believe the people saying it took over that. They did side-quests. I did those after.
