That was a train-of-thought comment that came from when we were discussing this post at work. My co-worker brought up the remake and I pretty much typed that as I was responding to him.

The fact they used Nelly to play Granville's part tells you everything you need to know about the abhorrent remake.

Macklemore is pop rap garbage. He took a style that was done much better by folks like El-P and Aesop Rock and turned it into pop music. If that's your thing, fine, but don't act like it's groundbreaking stuff, because it's not. Not even close.
