Reviewing Historical Schedules: CBS Fall of 2004
All Showtime said is it led to record subscriber sign up on the premiere day. Which is what Showtime would want.
But I have never seen a show this low rated on a premium channel that had a substantial (at least legal) online presence.
I was not surprised by the -73% drop in week 2, but I thought it would start ridiculously high (For Showitme) and drop big.
I know it is different today with C-SPAN and Cable News, but a big Watergate parallel.
A big factor in the Watergate testimony becoming so important was ABC, CBS, and NBC carrying live coverage.
TWIN BLEAK:
Reviewing Historical Schedules: CBS Fall of 2003
It happens every so often.
Parenthood was pushed off the fall schedule for production reasons.
The Neighbors and Suburgatory switched timeslots in summer of 2012
Last fall FOX pushed Bones to midseason for Pitch
The swap is odd.
I mean, it is like switching Blue Bloods and Madam Secretary.
Blue Bloods would improve Sundays for them, but not like Madam Secretary is going to do well on Friday.
Oh Matthew, because it was doing barely enough to stay on Friday.
It was mostly a casualty of the Last Man Standing cancellation.
Is it wrong to say Donald Trump?
He was never beloved, but I remember finding his ridiculous rich guy persona entertaining on The Apprentice they aired over a decade ago.
It is simple. They were determined to air Once Upon a Time Fridays a 8, and Shark Tank is way too valuable to have to air after that.
I mean, even Dr. Ken had a casually viewed older audience that fit it.
Today in "Networks are undoing all my schedule reviews":
Fun Fact:
The Without a Trace premiere went against a mammoth 14.6 from NBC's ER.
And a 1.8 for ABC's Primetime Thursday…
Reviewing Historical Schedules: CBS Fall of 2002
Note that while Gotham and Supergirl dueled head to head on Mondays, Gotham and Arrow are airing at 8 and 9 respectively on Thursday, so that's no problem
Reviewing Historical Schedules: CBS Fall of 2001
I've seen some people say Gotham moving to Thursday means FOX is killing it.
I don't think so.
I suppose this is the best payoff we can get for Penguin-Riddler without drastically rewriting cannon
