While I haven't watched the video yet, what struck me most about these films is that while each one does have one distinct theme (and it is basically just one per film), what makes them unmemorable is just how safe, derivative and predictably placed they are.

That… just sounds not even remotely believable. It's like three separate really implausible premises in one:
