Also, Kate is a great character. I don't care how bad her backstory gets. On the island (and dealing with pre-island choices), I love her as a character.

Now that The Leftovers is over, I've started re-watching LOST. About halfway through the first season, and it's definitely as solid as I remember, but am I the only one who thinks Jack is a perfect example of "lead character of a show that's only as interesting as who he's reacting to?" Not that it's a bad thing,

I am truly sorry to hear this news. It's rare that we find a work situation that's perfect our individual selves. I'm currently still holding out for a full-time position at my current employment rather than just jumping ship to another library precisely because I know I would not be as happy if i went anywhere else.

"I have my own friends."

This is the greatest thing I have ever read on the internet.

I'm on episode 147.

Vinegar Syndrome is having their halfway to Black Friday sale this weekend, with some limited runs blu-rays. They are quickly becoming my favorite non-Criterion home video company.

Two things:

Not to mention, while you can say anything is ambiguous on a show like The Leftovers… is there really a debate over the final scene? What? Not to say something else can't happen in the future, etc.

Days til Twin Peaks comes back. Is this what Stephen was doing?

We get married.

Next week's episode will contain a Wes Anderson homage. ;-)

Eh. don't stop posting anything ever. I was drugged up on cough medicine, I called in sick yesterday and didn't get any sleep, so i was just cranky. While I'll never understand the appeal of hate-watching, you've done nothing wrong. Just me being a puss.

Yeah, as somebody who's never gotten into the "matches' aspect of Wrestling (from afar), I was surprised that I found at least two of them so far to pack a real punch. It's just been good stuff all around. Makes it nice when both halves are working in tandem.

Since Eric asked for an update:

Why do you watch the show?

Definitely adding Lucha Underground to the queue. Didn't even realize there were commercially viable wrestling properties that weren't explicit decadents from WWE (though I understand they share talent).

I've heard about the filler from episode to episode, but I've read that the versions on Hulu are somewhat trimmed, and the trimmings only help the episodes run smoother. Not to say I'll jump right in with whole episodes, but that alone seems like a decent way to try the episodes.

As someone who tries to watch a little bit of everything with regards to television…
