Yeah, I'm very into him as the horror/thriller auteur that he is, who won't stop messing around from scene to scene. And I love musicals.

I watched Sleepaway Camp, Assault on Precinct 13, Do The Right Thing. Nothing lived up to Sleepaway Camp, but they were all good.

Besides his gangster stuff (Scarface, Carlito's Way, etc.), I usually love his films.

I just ordered Phantom of the Paradise the other day without having seen it. I'm glad it lives up to the hype.

But his desire to have a "stable home" is metaphorically relevant to him wanting to be an arch— no, I can't do it. He definitely could have worked on his rage issues as an LA cop, that just makes too much sense.

And now it's being reported that the creator and star of my favorite comedy show ever made, Garry Shandling, is dead.

I've been re-watching Southland to jog my memory on whether it was actually a good show or if I was just under its spell.
