Here are my 15 favorite film "discoveries" of 2015. Out of the 303 films I've watched in 2015 so far, these are the only films that are not released in this year and that I gave a 4.5 or 5 star rating to. Obviously, this was the first year I had seen any of these.

It's that time of the year again, where I feel the need to watch The Newsroom's (CA) season one finale in which a brain-dead candidate wins an election.
Time for LIMITLESS, you guys!!!!!
It's fantastic, is what it is.
I get chills whenever I watch the premiere (an underrated episode, in my opinion) and the Coldplay montage (yes, people, I'm being serious) rolls, because I don't think I've ever seen a show effectively show that things will never be the same, without telling the audience that.
I really need to listen to that commentary (well, really a lot of commentaries). But that one in particular, as Fincher is always excellent in that mode, but I haven't watched his for this film, one that I love more than most of his films.
Niles popping the balloons and killing all of the characters in the play in succession is some of the hardest I've ever laughed at TV.
"Ham Radio" is comedic brilliance. Just re-watched it the other day. (And I like "The Two Mrs. Cranes" even more!) But yeah, Frasier was so great at creating perfect episodes, whereas the show itself wavered far and wide in quality from episode to episode.
Perfect film script: Hot Fuzz/A Separation (to showcase difference between drama and comedy)
Perfect film: The Game (not even in my top 50 favorite films, as it's currently number 60, but it's my kind of example of how I believe everything in that movie is perfectly suited, and creates something that cannot possibly be…
Umm. I've met Snowmania, Grrr. Argh., and both of Snowmania's cats. So I think we all know who's winning here…
Well, the awkward part about his involvement in Coherence is that he's essentially playing himself: worrying that the "bad" version has succumbed to his alcoholism and then realizing maybe he's the "bad" version…
Nicholas Brendon (Buffy's Xander Harris) will be on Wednesday's episode of Dr. Phil, to discuss his alcoholism. Apparently he walked off the set and shut down the interview the moment Dr. Phil asks him if he had been drinking.
I watched Erik Skjoldbjærg's Insomnia last night, and that is just not a good film and makes it even more clear that Nolan's remake is quite underrated. One of the few times somebody improved on the source material with a remake.
I haven't seen Blood Simple, strangely enough, but the other three are the three I'm most considering to add to my list. All great films.
I really need to watch The Limey, and oooooh I didn't think about Death Proof… love that film.
What are your favorite revenge films? (ie. a film in which revenge is the main theme or prevalent enough). We're doing a Top 6 Revenge Films episode next week, and so far all I got is:
-Kill Bill
-I Saw the Devil
-Memento
-John Wick
