Wait, seriously?
Wait, seriously?
That's fucking ridiculous. The only film I've ever seen come close to 2001's space epic is this one. But that's hardly fair to the other space films.
People were comparing Gravity to 2001?
Caw! Caw!
Salo. All the parishioners at my church just did not believe me when I called it a masterpiece, but then I held a screening after mass one fateful February day and all of their complaints just clicked with me.
Wow, I can't believe you liked Hudson Hawk up until 2 years ago.
This was read with even more elegance than your typical post, because it's all in italics. You fancy motherfucker, you.
I've seen Vertigo in 70mm. I was going to see 2001 on the same night in 70mm but they said their print was defective and I couldn't go on the night they rescheduled it for. :(
A song for you all on this fine day. Who doesn't like country music?
I thought maybe Canada was just not playing by the rules.
No problem. The only rule is nothing done last year can be covered this year, so everybody get thinking.
Also, last year we went 24 for 25 for having everybody follow through on their posts and their dates (but thankfully Tereglith had that back-up piece, so we still had a new piece every day), so this year we have a new goal: to have everybody get their piece in on their assigned date.
I get the accusing looks, but why are you all naked?
I was going to reintroduce the second incarnation of the advent calendar once November 1st hits. (It takes about a month of people signing up to get that sort of thing figured out). It's also another reason why I let the October month fall through (that, and a lack of interest) since I just love the winter holidays.…
Good. Otherwise, I couldn't fucking respect you.
Also: 70mm IMAX or just 70mm?
Well it can't be me because I'm watching it on a Tuesday evening!
Affro reviews Howard the Duck
Damn. I really didn't think Mittens had recovered from his match with Princess Purrfect last week already.
