One actual sneaky cameo that I just saw over the weekend for the first time was Scorsese in The King of Comedy. It's not like he hadn't been in his films before, but it was just quick enough (and playing the role of a "director") made his identity almost escape my mind by the time he was offscreen.

The scene between Walton and "Tina" in the penultimate episode of The Shield is one of my favorite scenes of television. So much emotion. Ugh, it kills me every time.

It is definitely a show worth watching. I'm not a super fan, so I won't say there are episodes worth skipping. Because it starts off very strong, and the further you ton into the show, the more essential the episodes become. So just try to stick with it. Even if the series finale is shit.
