I have no authority when it comes to knowledge of video games (since I started playing at the time of SNES, and have sadly stopped playing around the time of the Wii… not to mention I've clearly just showed my narrow exposure is limited to mostly just Nintendo hardware). But let me just say randomly here and now, that

Listen, SAM… I know you wanted to underscore some very valid points in this piece, but underlining the entire thing? It just comes off as a bit cocky.

Also, what film are you watching in which you don't find Michael Corleone hysterical?
That guy's a riot!

For Your Considerations aren't supposed to make sense, SAM!

For Your Consideration: Wesley Wyndham-Pryce is the Michael Corleone of Television

Wesley's arc on television is one of the greatest representations of what the medium can do. Nothing really comes close to achieving what it did. What was so crucial to it is that when he shows up for the first time on Angel, he's still very similar to the Wesley we left behind on "Graduation Day" in Buffy. It would

By the finale, Angel's cast only retains one person from the pilot's original team. And that was handled terrifically.

Oh man, ER is definitely one of the forefathers of this. 15 seasons will do that to a show.

Haha. Oh god, don't make me start a series re-watch of that show tonight. I miss it.

But to answer your question: besides the three partners, the supporting cast of Boston Legal had completely changed by the end of that series, and they are definitely much more interesting than the people who came before.

The Scrubs thing doesn't really count, as the network forced them to call it "Scrubs: Season 9" when it was technically supposed to be a spin off. It was supposed to be a new start, not a new chapter.

Hey guys! I'm bored at work.
Here I am now, entertain me!

The Brakhage set is terrific, so that's a good idea to me.

This post made me sad. :(

You're sick, you know that?

The best feature on that disc is Criterion omitting their own label before the film starts. Properly gives that opening the urgency it deserves.

I watched All That Heaven Allows tonight, which was wonderful, and the film was so beautiful that I couldn't stop taking screenshots of the blu-ray.

ACTUALLY, THEY'RE BLU-RAYS TOO!

All That Heaven Allows
A Hard Day's Night
