Darn it. I love my ‘16 Touring V6 Sedan but the interior is kinda low-rent with hard seats. A higher trim like a Fusion Platinum would be awesome. I know some joke “it exists, it’s called the TLX” but that’s another $20K Canadian away.

Thanks! It’s pretty loaded and 311HP AWD sounds lovely indeed.
I got one. Why not make a Accord Type-S? Recaro seats, coloured calipers, the 3.5L tuned to 300HP.
Accord: 2.0T 252HP
Yeah but it’s heavy and terrible on gas.
I don’t know man. I used to be a hardcore Mazda guy. Had the 2006 3 Sport GT (the hatch in Canada)...top trim. What a car. I was going to Mazdaspeeds and RX-9s and 10s next. None came. Last year I was shopping for cars and I went to check out the 6. I was replacing my ‘08 TSX, the car I bought after my Dad totalled my…
How is the 2016 GS350 F-Sport? I might trade my Accord in for a 2016 CPO.
Of course. Last week I saw a 2014 435i XDrive Coupe w/ M-Performance Package. Stunning car...20K kms on it. $46K Canadian (and tax). I had dreams about it for the next two days. BUT I finally managed to remind myself it would eventually become a liability of costs and technical issues. My Accord might not be a sexy…
But surely if repairs were indeed needed on an IS-F, they would be much more expensive? And the gap between premium and regular gas too.
I would pay for it now. The V6 is still there, AWD, a much nicer interior...if you can get a good deal I’d say it’s worth it. I refuse to buy a 2.0T 255HP Accord. And most luxury sedans have a lot of cash incentives on them right now!
I didn’t see the need for one last year. My Accord Touring V6 Sedan was all-in for $40.5K Canadian. The top trim TLX was at $65K Canadian. True, the TLX has nicer seats and AWD. My sound system is shit too. But I got to keep $25K in my pocket and I don’t need premium gas or premium servicing/repair.
LOL. So true. Thank goodness the new A-Spec SH-AWD is a sweet looking car and they fixed the bland interior.
There you go. It’s VERY different in the Murano and Maxima, trust me. I’m not CVT man. That’s why I didn’t get a Civic but spent more coin for the V6 6AT Accord. BUT the Xtronic is really good in the top Nissans.
Yup! AND it lowers the headlights when cars come at me at night.
I had a ‘08 TSX and that got pricey too. But my ‘16 Accord is dirt cheap. I’ve had it since July ‘16 with 14K kms on it and I’ve spent $65 Canadian on it thus far for an oil change/1st service. Mind blowing. And I have a 278HP engine that takes regular. LOL
That’s my biggest concern right now. No turbo can possibly match the sweetness and power delivery of that amazing J35 3.5L
Ya my 2016 has auto-headlights with auto-lower when cars come in front.
The upkeep will be the same cost as a mid-level Accord right? Parts? Repair?
Which Nissan? My Dad’s 2015 Murano Platinum has a Xtronic CVT and it’s effing amazing. Is it as sweet as my Accord’s 6AT? Nope. But I still love the Xtronic.
How does the 2.0T 255HP feel vs the 3.5L 278HP? And are the seats better in the Touring model than the 2016? I hate my seats in my 2016. And how is the sound system? That also sucks in my 2016. Otherwise it’s an AMAZING car.
