I can practically guarantee there will be architecture limitations in some form or another. I’ve got multiple Elgato capture cards and none of them like to play with my Haswell desktop but run perfectly fine on my Skylake ultrabook (even though the desktop has far more horsepower)

I’ve bought a few retro consoles from thrift stores and the first thing I always do is take it apart completely and clean every possible aspect of it, even re-applying new thermal paste. Don’t buy something used or old if you’re not willing to put in the effort to keep it functioning and clean.

Forgive my ignorance but doesn’t HDMI in PAL regions continue to use PAL specifications? Like, doesn’t Europe do 50fps while NTSC does 60fps? or is it 60fps everywhere now?
