Nice to see it in beta. ;)

To me, the compelling this is that none of these recent acquisitions are from developers that have good reputations with gamers; Bethesda (Fallout 76) Bungie (Destiny, among others), and Activision (do I need to say anything?) all have poor reps with many gamers. There is no guarantee these acquisitions will lead to…
Denis carried over some of that brutalist style from Blade Runner: 2049. It works especially well here.
Great news! Cyberpunk is officially a Beta release.
Give Microsoft credit for embracing backwards compatibility, for sure. If players own an old game, they’d often like to replay it on a new console. Sony will have problems with PS3 games because of their architecture, but they would probably rack up a lot of good will if players could play PS1 or PS2 games on new…
I have to chuckle at these guys. It’s like they already have played it for years.
It’s really, really bad when juries hear that discovery in a case has been willfully destroyed. This can lead to an adverse jury instruction, and a host of other issues. The end result is usually a huge settlement for the Plaintiff. Sounds like Activision/Blizzard deserves it, too.
Big game companies like EA will always find a way to completely alienate gamers. I won’t buy a game with commercials, and many gamers won’t.
Not sure that spending that kind of capital on Bethesda is a good idea. Their reputation isn’t exactly sterling right now. Starfield better work out. However, quality and profit don’t always go together. Both rival companies end up with good games in the end, but it seems like Sony might spend a bit more wisely? The…
It’s in Beta now. In two years, they’ll have a game.
I agree as well. For me it’s acting more like a PS4 Pro on steroids. The UI bugs and various issues haven’t made it essential, either. Still, I’ve enjoyed how it just blows through older games, and with an attached SSD, the PS4 games load pretty quickly. I suspect it will be at least a year before the games really…
This happened to me at a Volvo dealership in Albuquerque. They asked for my keys to check my old car for trade-in, and wouldn’t give them back, and had me sit in an office with a salesperson who tried a hard sell on the car I test drove. It was like being in a police interrogation. The person wouldn’t give me my keys,…
I’m older (53), so games weren’t even a thing until my Dad picked up a Pong machine at Sears (the first deathmatch). Luckily, he was into PCs (then a ‘new’ technology), so he got into old text games like Hamurabi, Police Quest, and even later, Doom. We stayed active, and did our schoolwork, so gaming time was never…
Not a fan of the convoluted system of importing the new levels if you own the discs of previous games. I have a PS5, so It meant I had to re-install and re-update Hitman 1 (8gb update) download the access pack (30gb) then re-install another huge 28 gb update, and I still have to install Hitman 3, which will require…
