Those tiny things are perfect energy shields to protect yourself from the real world. You might get run over by a bus, or mugged, but your hashtags and likes are your badges of honor, and you can feel connected, therefore less alone in this soulless world, everywhere you are.

I know. I've heard too, many tales of angry geeks (even on this here site's sibling, io9.) But the geeks I knew were delighted in knowing geek girls or getting girls interested in geekdoms, and were as open and as inclusive as many of the things we liked taught us to be. The gay ones came out as such with little

Yeah, I kept thinking that I would not frame that certificate (or show it to my dad,) because how dare they not capitalize your name?!

Exactly. Same goes for dishes in the dishwasher. I loathe putting them away so much, that I simply wash everything by hand on the sink. (I'm a pragmatist, not a simplist.)

If this is indeed the case, folks, I'm sorry to report you that you shall soon bow down to my daughter, empress of the universe.

To be honest, I'd be up for it even if the beer wasn't that great, because the hunt for free WiFi never ends.

Fun yet creepy game. I love it!

Thank you, thank you.

Isn't that from the first Batman movie?

I'm a man, and I think my dirty hair makes me look handsome. Can I get on TV now?

Yeah, it never is. Thanks! At 35, it's not all that complicated to manage. I think.

Good for Emma. It's one of those things that make me think, "Yeah, I should go back and finish school..."

Wait...the green stuff isn't another Kardashian?

And why does his current wife/daughter/keychain look so much like a Kardashian? Why do ALL the women look related, for that matter? Am I just getting old?

I just realized that, for a newbie as myself, the shared Kardashian universe is as impenetrable and dense as it is to make sense of the X-Men or something equally geeky for a first timer!

That was great, and that's high praise, from me considering that I can't think of anyone I'd wish a fierier, more gruesome death than to the Lukewarm Chili Peppers.
