"But Kumonga is the friend to all children!"
I'm now picturing children running to hug Kumonga and then getting covered in acid spider webs. Cool.

Where the heck are Anguirus and Gigan???

"In the first six episodes, women have existed primarily as victims, harpies, henpecking wives, sex objects, or dingbats."
Did you blinked in the scene were Janney-E shuts down two mobsters and walks away completely safe? I mean that must've been a very long blink.

About the glacial pacing: It's like y'all forgot that Lynch came at the end of Season 2 and in two episodes tied up a lot of stuff and set up a huge cliffhanger and one of the weirdest things ever shown in Primetime Television (the last episode of S2). I trust we are seeing multiple story threads because they're all

"It was one of the few moments where I laughed with the new show."
Hey how about "Genne Kelly motherfucker!" or "So Jade has to give you two rides" (which I only caught up the meaning two episodes later because I'm slow af)?

THEY'RE CARTOONS!

Argh, the music and editing of the trailer are terrible. This blinking thing all trailers do nowadays always kills my interesting in seeing something.

And funny enough, Eraserhead was allegedly Kubrick's favorite film.

Christ, I would trade them even for another Dumb & Dumber sequel, they take too much space and money that could be funneled into different projects.

Well Peter Capaldi does look a bit like Lynch and Series 10 veered into existential dread lately so…

"Numerous critics at the time called it one of the worst movies ever made."
Talk about being wrong on so many levels it's funny. It's kinda like The Shining getting multiple Raspberries when it was released, some genius work is never well received upfront.

TOO. FUCKING. SOON.

Steve Jobs was a she?!

Andy and Lucy are still in the show, I doubt they dropped the humor

"and scream at some remarkably chintzy effects"
I fall every time for those quick cuts of FX on the trailer of a movie that can be described like that. Also it's fucking UFO related I'll watch any crap with aliens. Remember that movie with Charlie Sheen when he had a goatee and tried to look like a serious astronomer?

Can I record this thread over those old Poughkeepsie tapes?

"what a lousy way to handle it"
Davies in a nutshell, basically

Bitte Orca / Merriweather / Veckatimest were not mainstream in strict sense, I think he meant to say indie rock in general is less risky nowadays. Like when every other post-punk band in the late 00s was a copy of Interpol.

>rock is dying because of subgenre classifications
Yeah, nah. Rock is dying because of lack of experimentation and repetition.

Indie as they were talking about is not a parent genre of garage, specially garage rock from the revival period of the early 00s. Even indie rock in general is a different strain from garage rock in general. Different production values, different lyrics and general sound. And except for the early 00s, different
