Michigan passed an expansive voting expansion amendment to our constitution, this was the first election since.

The DNC didn’t vote for Biden and drive his wins, the democratic base did.  You know, black folks, women, older ones who actually vote.  

Well, I did some number crunching bouncing around on various Michigan county poll results (state isn’t done yet) and of the few that I looked at that actually separated absentee votes from poll votes, Biden had far more absentee, by a lot. Some counties Bernie actually did better at the polls voting than Biden.

Well, in Michigan, which doesn’t have a strong latinx community, turnout was generally down from 2016 primary except for the suburbs where women turned out to vote against Sanders.

It’s true that Sanders has the bloc of voters.  But he doesn’t have them because of pushing the further left.  I mean 8% of Sanders voters voted for TRUMP. But Biden has the base, and I’m all about the base....

Absolutely Biden is winning in electability. Why? Because older voters like him, women voters like him, and black voters like him. There you have the democratic base. Ya, I agree.  Oh and my nerd ass is sitting here crunching numbers, and in this particular county, she had 13.2% of the absentee vote. No way of knowing how much of that was marked before she dropped out, but quite similar to Washington, probably about the same if you factor in her election day support votes.

I will own the establishment title with pride. I’ve been a tried and true Democrat who has voted in every election for the 25 years since I turned 18, and volunteered in most. That’s more than Sanders can say, so let him act like it’s an insult, it’s not to me.

We don’t have early voting in MI, only no reason absentee. The state hasn’t released absentee vs in person voting% yet, so that will be an interesting look.
