I don’t buy this at all. This is a common refrain, “Women will get blamed more” that just doesn’t hold up to reality. Some will blame her, some will blame him. Some will be neutral but will be interpreted as blaming one of the parties because people project their own biases.

Why white? When like 90% of lead roles go to white, why does the major have to be white? This sounds more like catering to a white audience rather than exploring what the major “could be”.
