There are even more white players but do they experience such racism? Why should we expect that for black players but not white players?

Its anime so who cares. It’s not a medium you can take serious. And where’s Black Panther?
What are you, a 10 year old? Yeah, don’t talk about racism just like we shouldn’t talk child abuse, rape, crime, corruption, etc. because it’s bad and makes me feel bad so let’s not talk about it! Waahhh!!! lol! Your attitude is pathetic, immature and sad.
I mean, of course color doesn’t matter, when the only color is white. Make em’ all black or brown and I bet color will start mattering.
What do you expect? The man’s name is Odor, he probably hates himself.
They obviously aren’t though. Nearly all the actors playing the Dothraki are people of color, brown and black. It’s really the imagery, having them bow down and bullshit. I think there are other ways they could have done it but they seem to like to invoke the “brown people worshipping the pale Valyrian” thing a lot.…
Of course it’s a name. Anything can be someone’s name. Where do you think names come from, the “name tree”? And most people are named after fictional characters anyway. Unless you believe the bible is factual history.
Even if not Elba, the role would have gone to some hunk. You can count on that.
“Space-God-Aliens” being the operative phrase here. They are basically aliens with no genetic connection to the humans who worshipped them in Scandinavia. Why couldn’t some of the aliens be black?
Really, why is this role a miscast? Or James Bond?
Damn, what do you have against the Wayans brothers?
It’s not messed up at all. There is nothing wrong with that name.
There is no “bad” or “good” name. It’s all a matter of tastes. Imho, Khaleesi is more interesting than Arya or Brienne which are more typical.
Except Dothraki isn’t a real language and no one chooses their child’s name based on it’s meaning. Do you think most people know what their name “means” other than the meaning they and their parents invest in it? Names are only significant because they are meaningful to the parents. It’s nobody else’s business.
The end was a downer to an otherwise great episode. I thought D & D were retiring these white supremacist/savior tropes.
Yeah, he said he’s in debt. I’m sure you believe that. And he owns valuable property, being in debt for the wealthy doesn’t they aren’t worth millions. The US is in debt for trillions. How much do you think our nation is worth?
Lol! Oh, it’s definitely irony and poetic and it’s obvious and you just don’t get it.
Just as our use of Native American mascots for our sports teams is proof that we actually lifted them up and didn’t erase them. Unless this is a largely American Indian school this appropriation.
It seems like she knows exactly what she’s talking about. As someone who has stood against racism in the past and then to turn around to say what she said? Yes, “The oppressed take on the role of the oppressor,” in a way. Those she’s using the language of the oppressor not necessarily being an oppressor herself.
The song fit perfectly, especially with the lyrics!
