Pelosi and people like her are EXACTLY why we struggle to have true far left voices on the political stage. She has spent so many years at this point cutting the legs out from under every single person who has even attempted to swing further to the left of her.

It kind of sounds like the word salad that a beauty pageant contestant would throw together.

I think AOC (who I do not hero-worship) put it best when she said that one of the Democratic Party’s worst traits is that they are not good at ushering in new generations of Democratic leaders.

Art isn’t for “conservatives”. I put that in quotes because today’s conservatives are really reactionary fascists. Appreciation of art requires self reflection and empathy at the minimum. Fascists can’t do that.

They’re probably drug users who hate taxes. That’s all a libertarian is today.

I remember coming to the same conclusion in my early 40s. No regrets.

Never had a kid, never wanted one. I’m a musician, and my life has always been 100% about music. I did marry, though- 7 years ago at age 56, but marriage was never a goal of mine... we just did it to save on taxes after selling and buying another house! Practical reasons, ya’ll....

I saw Leigh Ann Tuohy speak once. It was a long time ago now, but I remember enjoying her lecture. Bless her heart, she seemed so nice. Guess that’s how she got that book/movie/speaker gig.
