It’s more railing against the idea that there’s only one body type that’s completely healthy. That being skinny/overweight isn’t an automatic death sentence that the media likes to portray sometimes.

And how do you feel about magazines like Men’s Health or Shape or GOOP featuring underweight people who promote disordered eating?
Yeah I mean it’s painful to realize when you did something shitty and even harder to admit when you’re being sued so you probably shouldn’t be like “yeah I’m sorry I tried to get her to eat that banana”
Yeah, if you’re like “Well in her interview she said she was excited to work here! Does that sound like the words of someone we would sexually harass for the next 3 months?” I’m gonna remain skeptical.
I mean, they may have expected it, but when your boss says “We’re going to Roxy’s where we can see X do Y to her V,” it definitely creates a different dynamic. Also, to then find out that you are expected to do Z to the Y after X takes it out of her V...
Going by the quotes here, it sounds like they failed at adapting the more complex elements *because* they assumed audiences couldn’t handle it.
“We had to dumb it down so Americans would watch it.”
Me, torn between an opportunity to further shit on America, but also thinking this dipshit is wrong about a complex geopolitical fantasy show not being popular because lol Game of Thrones was most beloved by an American audience before it dumbed things down.
and give them some action and eye-candy in between
I’d say that the first season was the only actually “good” season of the show - I enjoyed parts in seasons 2 and 3 (I haven’t finished the back half yet), but not at a “this is legitimately good” level. And I don’t think that it’s a coincidence that the first season was largely based off of the earlier Witcher short…
That’s why Game of Thrones’ early seasons made it the biggest show on the planet. Because a genius producer came up with the key idea that what it really needed was dumb it all down.
To quote Ian Malcom “that is one big pile of shit”.
Jesus Christ just reading through that was so insane that for a moment I was worried that I was having a stroke.
Geeze, thanks for that brush your painting us all with, fuckwad.
Ironically, a liberal black woman appointed by Obama is the ideal judge for Trump’s fundraising purposes and Fox viewership. The mileage they’ll get out of her will last them for years.
Of course they are, but it won’t go anywhere unless she does something really dumb.
I do not think she is dumb to assert that the United States government came close to being overthrown on January 6. I concur with her assessment.
As well as those very GOP Senators who voted for her the first time.
Though she was appointed by Obama, she was approved by the senate 95-0. But as you say, this will almost certainly be forgotten by the weird sycophants employed in right wing media.
“She is an immigrant black woman appointed by Obama, therefore she will be totally biased against Trump. She needs to recuse herself.”
