I mean if Republicans are so worried about the workforce, they could you know do something regarding immigration.  There are plenty of people at the Southern Border who would love to work in the USA.  Heck, even have a pathway to citizenship so they can start paying Federal Income Tax.  

Crime has been decreasing noticeably since the 80s, but the problem is that the wealthy elite and politicians NEED crime to siphon power and influence just by pointing a finger and saying, “Look at those criminals! They need to be put in to private prisons! Crime is a business! OUR BUSINESS!”

Came here to say the same thing. This is by design. More births means more workers. If those workers come from poor households, they’ll be more likely to accept low wages and terrible working conditions.

Except for running Twitter. 

Even if they don't turn out to be "mass shooters or serial killers or Republicans", they still require all kinds of support until they reach adulthood. These Republicans are acting like they pop out of the womb as fully-independent little wage learners.

In my experience, clumps of cells are ill-equipped for most of the tasks required in a 21st century workplace.

So that corporations don't have to pay a livable wage to adults. 

Because babies born into poverty are all set up to work for Amazon or Target for slave wages and they’ll be set for life? They’ll make more money being an Uber driver than a drug dealer? Okay!

So... they think babies will be making up for gaps in the workforce?

It is, and always has been, about 1.) control, and 2.) a labor force to exploit.

The old lady at church thinks she’s saving babies. The people passing the laws may or may think that, but the people behind it have always been about creating an exploitable workforce.

Meanwhile, they’re hard at work rolling back child labor laws so soon they can pass on the big dig project to future generations.
