I get why people don’t like Corden, but, other than Schwimmer, the Friends brought an enthusiasm level of about 2 to the proceedings, so having Corden as a hype man was probably necessary.

Eh...it’s concern-trolling and virtue-signalling wrapped-up in a nice, shiny package. I tend to slur my speech even when I’m sober, and with my history of drinking, it leads to a lot of, “Are you OK?” or “How you feeling?” with a grim nod.

Saw Scott Pilgrim vs. The World last weekend at an AMC Dolby Cinema theater and I believe its run is being extended for another week or two. It’s far better than any of these listed here. I’m in lesbians with this film.

I disagree with that characterization quite a bit, actually. The issue the book lays out is that Jack Torrance is a man that lacks control - he cannot control his anger when Danny pours beer on his papers, nor when George Hatfield slashes his tires, and he cannot control his drinking, which may (or may not) have led…

The show’s argument, on the other hand, is that John didn’t really become a bad Captain America until he killed a man with the shield in broad daylight.
