Is there really a great clamor for a new console? I still have plenty of catch up to do with the current crop of games available on my PS3/PC/PSP. I think a 10 year lifespan for the Xbox 360 and PS3 are reasonable this generation as their graphics capabilities have hit an acceptable threshold of realism.

The narrative in Portal is AMAZING. I expect the same from the sequel.

I thought the same thing until I purchased a new computer with a core i7 and gtx 470 late last summer. I didn't touch my ps3 for a while. Now when I go back to my consoles, the graphics are noticeably worse.

That's subjective. I have both a DSlite and a PSP-3000 and the PSP gets much more of my play time.

The new MBP 13'' hardware is a joke for 2011. I can't believe they're charging $1100 for the base model core i5 with integrated graphics. I've always thought that the trade off for nicer style and battery life were worth it but this new MBP is overpriced by at least $300.

I kind of want to purchase the 3DS, but $250 is a lot for me to spend on something where the entire selling point is the 3D feature. If it ends up becoming bothersome over time, I'd just turn it off and it'd just be an upgraded DSi. I already have a DSlite and a PSP to satisfy my portable gaming thirsts.

Cheaper to just have someone buy it for you in the states and mail it to you.

@Mattomattic: Get a mac book pro or any laptop. I have a $2000 gaming machine I built this summer and I barely get to use it because I'm at school/lab all the time. Of course since I'm in grad school it might be different for you.

@dissolved: I hope to Ford BF3 brings team play back to multiplayer FPS. In CoD, Team Deathmatch is the same thing as FFA thanks to the spawning methods.
