Why do people expect massive amounts of memory in a tablet? 32GB @ $300 is pretty much on the mark as far as storage is concerned at that price point. At least Nintendo is using a standard format, unlike the bullshit Sony did with the Vita...

The Switch does not, in most cases anyway. The read speed of the game cards is sufficient compared to modern Blu-Ray disks where while the sequential speed is okay, random seek is abysmal.
