Awesome.

That sounds like you have been through A LOT of aggravation. It also sounds like you are blessed/cursed with the ability to do some in depth repairs. Neither my dad nor I have the skill or patience to do beyond the basic maintenance. We leave that for our Alfa savant. We would never be able to do it as well as him

Something in the electrical system, I'm not sure what though. When it would get wet it somehow caused the engine to turn over. He got rid of it and replaced it with a 164.

I have to be fair, ChairmanKaga submitted the GTV6 before I did. Ah, fuck it. He's got a star and I don't. I can have this one.

There's no such thing as an Alfa that only needs a little. The newest Alfa you can find in the US is going to be 17 years old (stopped importing them in '94). It's ALWAYS going to need work. Owning an Alfa is like being in an physically and emotionally abusive relationship... but the sex is uuuhhhmaazzziinnggg.

Ahhahahah He DID sound like that! I suddenly have the urge for some popcorn.

I hope you have an Alfa mechanic close by. Seriously. My dad's had 4 or 5 Alfas over the last 20 years or so and he said he would never consider owning one if he didn't have his Alfa guy near by. He had a black GTV6 about 15 years ago that, if left in gear, would start itself when it rained and drive off. It drove

*Classic cars optional. Just post whatever you want!

Beat me to it! I love all the Alfa love in this qotd.

The closest Alfa to a daily driver as there is. 220hp powering the front wheels. It's a highway MONSTER. It's comfortable and drives like a dream. Gearbox and steering is plenty tight and the damn thing will spin wheels at any point through 1st gear. Good old Alfa electrics though, my dad had one just like this red S

That Corrado makes me not want a Corrado.

GTV6. Good thing classics aren't meant to be driven every day. Equal amounts of time are spent in the shop as on the road but there is just nothing like the sensory overload you get from punching it at 45mph on the highway on ramps. Everyone knows what a Mercedes or a BMW is.. but when some asks at the gas station,

Please let me know if you decide to share it!

Well, iPods dominate the mp3 market all together. If we're looking at automobiles as one large category than I think the Model T is the only answer. However, there are so many sub-categories of automobiles that each have their respective answers. For the exotic car segment, I'm going to choose the Gallardo. Obligatory

As far as what $40,000 will get you with other Chevelles I say it's quite the bargain.

This is a bit of a stretch for several reasons but I'm going with the first generation Bronco ('66-'77). It didn't start in the malaise-era but it was there none the less. It's generally accepted that this is one of the cooler classic trucks and one of the original SUVs. I don't think it's in the top ten right now,

Oh wow I never realized that. I've always seen the two-tone (which is balls ugly on the latest model). I'm not sure how I feel about this.. To me it's like calling the Ranger a F-150 Sport.

I thought it was any car sold in America. Most of the imports were light little things like Datsuns, MGs or Hondas so they didn't have much trouble meeting regulations. I could be wrong though. Either way, this QOTD can only be cars that were sold in America.

I thought the Subaru Outback was based off of the Legacy, not the Impreza?

Me too. I like both the Cube and that army-green color. Neither of which for any sensible reason. I just think it works.
