Patriarchy is bad for everyone!
Patriarchy is bad for everyone!
I am 100000% in favor of Dracula's courtship of Vanessa taking a sudden turn into old school screwball romcom territory just to mess with the audience.
I honestly have no idea what that would smell like (strongly, for sure, but I'm unfamiliar with the scent of copious blood) but at least it's fresh blood? I'm pretty sure it would become super gross and sticky and coagulated pretty quickly and I just threw up in my mouth a little.
I'm not sure Jamie has ever been a twink during the series…
I'm totally in favor of Sansa/Pod. He'll actually be the honorable knight she always wanted. And he got hot before last season and that totally threw me…
I literally yelled, "GET IT, BRIENNE!" when he was giving her those looks.
Idle rich would seem to be a better fit. Why bother creating such an elaborate cover story? Vanessa isn't one to be suspicious of or disinterested in the idle rich. She was all about some Dorian, briefly; she's not the most discerning.
A lot of the time commitment to get to his position could be hand waived away with glamours but it doesn't explain why he would even bother. A visiting lecturer who occasionally gives public lectures at the museum would have the same net effect with significantly less upkeep.
So season 8 is probably taking notes from Buffy and Supernatural with the First and probably some kind of Hellmouth/Hellgate opened/unsealed by blood sacrifice, etc? Super.
Meh.
That's true, though I think I try to block out that Tony ever happened. The execution of it was…inelegant. But even so, Cosima and Tony are queer in different ways and there's only one of each that we're aware of.
I need season 4 in my life immediately!
I was positively giddy when Ray said that
-Best Bechdel pass ever, though parts of the convo did relate back to men.
-I don't really understand Dorian's role in this or what he and Lily plan to do with a bunch of murderous women. It's not like either of them can turn the women into supernatural beings - unless Dorian is secret besties with Dracula and Drac…
I think it's a cruel blow waiting to happen because she almost certainly had something to do with his death, directly or indirectly.
I was shocked it took this long, really.
Either she killed him or he died trying to protect her/help her escape. It's all the guilt, all the time for Vanessa.
They're probably ex-lovers
Oh, NBC's Dracula: the camp fever dream I only occasionally remember ever existed
I knew I was jaded when my only reaction was, "huh, this show didn't have a blood orgy until its third season; that's surprising"
